Canvas Stretching

We custom make and stretch canvases to a multitude of specifications.

We use both a 20mm stretcher profile (commonly used for Aboriginal canvases), and a 34mm stretcher profile (commonly used for contemporary or Balinese canvases).

We ensure that the tension reached will provide no paint cracking or tearing of the fabric.

Larger works are braced in the corners using a unique technique that offers both strength and stability, ensuring the canvas will never twist or buckle during and after the stretching process.

Size isn’t an issue either. We custom make to any specifications, and have the ability to stretch up to 6,000mm long.
